Tip for Neck Pain

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on November 11, 2009 by myomegapain

Before you spend hundreds of dollars on chiropractic pillows, consider this easy trick recommended to me by a physical therapist. Roll up a bath towel evenly so that the width of the towel is close to the width of your shoulders. (To see a visual scroll down and watch the video) Slip it into  your pillow case  lengthwise so that the towel is at the base of your neck when you lay flat on it. As you can see from the diagram below, your neck requires extra support, or else you will be spending an average of 8 hours a night straining your muscles.

For detailed instructions on how to roll up the towel so that it is most comfortable, watch this video on Youtube.

This can be tucked beneath your neck instead of a pillow, or placed inside your pillowcase for additional support. For fast relief for neck pain try MyOmega Triple Strength Pain Relief Rub.

For back pain and hard-to-reach areas we recommend MyOmega Targeted Pain Relief Spray.

Another MyOmega Pain Survivor!

“My mother has been suffering from a giant headache for at least 10 weeks. Her doctors treated her for a sinus infect (which she didn’t have) and allergies (which she doesn’t have). At home, we have tried every headache medicine and every home remedy, from inhaling vinegar to foot rubs. I finally had an idea that maybe her arthritis had moved up into her spine so I went to CVS and found a bottle of Myomega. This morning I rubbed it over her shoulders and neck and the relief was instant.”

Cell Phone Elbow?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 4, 2009 by myomegapain

Hold the phone! According to the CTIA-Wireless Association, over 250 million Americans subscribe to cell phone service, and over 1 out of 5 households are cell-phone only. It’s one thing to get a work-related injury like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from typing all day, but now we have to worry about pinched nerves from using our phones??

It turns out Cell Phone Elbow is caused from bending your arm for an extended period of time, which compresses your ulnar nerve. This causes a loss of blood flow, reduced mobility and pain. So what’s a cell phone user to do? Here are some suggestions:

  • Rotate ears frequently. If you feel any tension in your arm, switch hands. This will aid circulation.
  • If you’ve been on the phone for a long time and are feeling tension, swing your arms around and try to loosen them up. Stretching is also extremely beneficial.
  • Go hands free! This is a safe alternative for many reasons. Many people get injured when they’re distracted by their phones. In fact, several people have been badly injured recently because they were tweeting on their phones and not paying attention to what they were doing. These injuries are being called Twinjuries…Please avoid Twinjuries. It’s completely unnecessary and pretty embarrassing.
  • Use your cell phone less. This can be very liberating! Turn it off for an afternoon. If you’re used to getting work calls or stressful texts and time-consuming emails, take a vacation. We managed to get on just fine before we started using cell phones. We can surely survive without them now.
  • If you’re already experiencing Cell Phone Elbow, treatments include injections, ultrasounds to loosen scar tissue, or chiropractic care. Unfortunately, all of these are very expensive.
  • The best thing you can do to relieve your pain quickly is to use a topical pain reliever like MyOmega™. Not only does it work quickly, but it lasts up to 6 hours. Give your forearm a therapeutic rub with MyOmega™ Triple Strength Pain Relief Rub for a blast of cooling relief. A little massage will loosen up your muscles and get you on your way to pain-free cell phone use! For a more intense massage, try MyOmega™ Penetrating Heat Therapy Cream. This timed-release heating cream uses Capsaicin to virtually melt away the pain. Best of all, it works better over time. An excellent choice for the regular cell-phone user.

MyOmega™ is available at CVS or online right here.

Response To New York Times on Pain

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 21, 2009 by myomegapain

In an article entitled “Do Sports Creams Rub the Pain Away?”, The New York Times claims that there is no evidence that pain relief creams work. The therapeutic effects of Menthol, Camphor and Capsaicin are accused of resulting from the “placebo factor”.

Not only does the FDA approve these as active ingredients for the use of pain relief, but we at MyOmega™ KNOW that topical pain relievers work. Why? Besides trying it ourselves, we’ve received a flood of responses from satisfied customers. Here’s a few:

“What a miracle !!  I have MS … I have used a cane and often use my power wheel chair to get around for the last seven years …. but since using the Omega 3 + ice pearls spray , i can walk without any assistance !!  I received instant results … and I spray my legs and knees everyday . Thanks !!”

“I play golf four or five times a week with shoulder problems. My left shoulder has an 80 percent in the rotator cuff and full tears in both parts of the labrum. I have taken Prolotherapy as opposed to surgery. It worked, but the pain is still there…until I started using MyOmega3. I now play with no pain. Ditto for my right shoulder which has a full rotator cuff, but no other treatment other than MyOmega3. It has worked form me.”

-Alan T., New York
“I’ve been using this product for three months now and I’m amazed by how effective its been for me. I tried pretty much everything I could think of- from chiropractors, to injections… like I said, I’ve tried everything and this is the first thing thats provided me with long term relief. Who knew that a cream could do something so wonderful! I’ve had arthritis for 20 years and as I get older it seems like it only gets worse.. My doctor has prescribed all sorts of narcotic pain killers and they did nothing but make me dizzy. I love that MyOmega is all natural and didn’t interact with any of the other medications I was taking or give me any side effects. I recently purchased the product for my sister and my aunt and they both love it as well. All I know is that if you don’t try it… you’re not going to know if it works for you. Life is about taking risks, I should know I’m 82 years old. Try it see if it works… and if it doesn’t work for you — call them up and get your money back. They’re wonderful people. Thanks again MyOmega!!!”

-Ashlee Deville, Nevada
“I recently stressed the tendons in my arm and the pain radiated into my elbow and on into my shoulder. I tried other “pain relievers” and accidentally saw your ad in our local paper. I went to the store immediately and purchased your Omega 3+ Pain Relief Rub. To my astonishment, I received relief within a few hours. I continued to apply the Omega 3+ Pain Relief Rub daily for the following week. At the end of the week, my arm had no aches or pain and I was able to function again. Your product, Omega 3+ Pain Relief Rub, is the best I have ever used for stressed muscles and tendons. Thank you! P.S. I have never before written a “testimonial” for a product.”

-JH, Austin, Texas
“To those people who have had the same trouble with their knees that I have: I went to my orthopedist with pain in my knee, he examined it and said I should have an arthroscopic surgery. I did this and after a year, having the repeated pain, he said the only thing that could help would be a knee replacement. I was very upset at what he said and told him I would wait. I looked all over and came across the medication called MyOmega Omega 3+ Heat Therapy Cream. With God’s help and my using this 2 to 3 times a day, my pain has almost gone away. I can walk very well without a cane, and even dance a little. I hope this letter may help others who have and still go through what I did.”

-Anthony Cherubino
“Recently my daughter gave me a wonderful present. I am 75 years old and suffer from all kinds of aches and pains, especially backaches. Since I live alone, I cannot apply any medication to my back. Your Omega 3+ Spray is wonderful. It is so easy to use, best of all it works! The feeling of warmth and pain relief lasts for a long time. Thank you for bringing this product to the market, it was long overdue.”

Get Fit with MyOmega™!

Ahhhhh, yes. The clouds are parting, the temperatures are rising, and the days are growing longer. This can only mean one thing… Bathing suit season is on its way. So just how are you supposed to get a beach-ready body after a sluggish, sedentary winter? Ease into it. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of your workout.

Beach-Ready?

Beach-Ready?

1. Exercise regularly, but remember to GRADUALLY increase the difficulty of your routine. If you have a low activity level, start with 1-3 times a week. If you have a a moderate activity level, try kicking it up to 3-5 days a week. Most importantly, don’t overdo it. So many injuries can be avoided if we just listen to our bodies. While the inviting Spring weather may be beckoning you to run more miles than your body is accustomed to, you run the risk of stress fractures, pulled muscles and tendinitis, which can set you back to square one.

2. For most of us, exercise is just not enough. If you’re not willing to give up your favorite foods, here’s an easy way to cut down on calories without too much suffering. Watch your portions. This seems obvious, but most of the time we eat far more than our body actually requires. That’s because your brain does not register that you are “full” until 10 minutes after you have already exceeded your limit. Try taking a 10 minute break halfway between eating to see if you are still hungry. Don’t torture yourself by staring at your plate the whole time. Take this time to tidy up your kitchen, do some reading or call up a friend. It will occupy your mind and before you know it, your 10 minutes will be up. If you are still hungry after this time, eat a little more, and take another break. You’d be surprised on how easily you can satisfy your appetite with a little patience (and distraction).

3. Once you feel it’s time to bump up your mileage or add more weight to your routine, prepare for the inevitable muscle soreness and tightness. For some of us it can be unbearable, and we end up having to take such long breaks that we eventually plateau. The best way to help manage the normal pain that accompanies exercise is to try a topical analgesic like MyOmega™ Targeted Pain Relief Spray. This powerful, cooling formula relieves the pain associated with strains, sprains, muscle aches, cramps and tension. Simply spray directly onto painful areas for an invigorating burst of pain relief and you may just find yourself finishing that extra mile, swimming that extra lap, biking that extra stretch, or increasing your reps without the overwhelming obstacle of common soreness. As long as you remember to stay within your bodies realistic boundaries, MyOmega™ may just become your favorite new exercise companion
